How do you implement a quick die change program when presses are on opposing sides of an aisle and the cart is required to run North, South, East and West? Atlas Bi-Directional Die Carts are the perfect solution.
Built with the same rugged construction and installation proven design as Atlas standard die carts, the bi-directional die cart also includes a lifting mechanism that allows the wheels to rotate 90ยช at the opposing track intersection. Once the wheels have completed rotation and are aligned with the opposing set of tracks, the cart lowers into travel position and proceeds to the press for die change.
To complete the efficiency of this application, Atlas recommends pre-staging of the incoming die on an Atlas die rack.
