Atlas Technologies Secures Two Large Panel Forming Systems for Major HVAC Manufacturer
FENTON, MICHIGAN, Feb 15, 2004 -- Atlas Technologies, Inc., announced today a multi-million dollar contract to provide two new panel-forming systems for a large HVAC manufacturer, designated for their Fort Smith, Arkansas Facility.
The Atlas Technologies, Inc. panel forming line will be capable of producing different louver panels for a new product line. Atlas Technologies, Inc. will design, build and integrate a coil feed system to feed the press, a Mechanical press for the notch and pierce operations, a Robot to manipulate the parts thru the system, and a special edge-forming machine.
The Atlas Technologies, Inc. hydraulic tandem press line will utilize three hydraulic presses to stamp parts involved in the manufacture of heating and cooling equipment. Atlas Technologies, Inc. will design, build and integrate the press system, a robot to destack steel blanks into the press and move the part from press to press, and an automatic die change system, which will be linked to an automated storage and retrieval systems to quickly change dies within the stamping presses. This Atlas Technologies, Inc. systems will be able to “stage” the next die set thru the use of the automated storage and retrieval system, this will allow for immediate productivity gains.
