Atlas Technologies Completes Large Die Change Refurbishment Order
FENTON, MICHIGAN, Atlas Technologies, Inc. announced today the completion of a seven die cart refurbishment project for Ford Motor Company’s Chicago Stamping Plant.
Atlas Technologies, Inc. worked in cooperation with the customer to refurbish and upgrade the die carts servicing two press lines. The carts were shipped in rotation and expeditiously refurbished, to ensure that the disruption to production was minimal. Ford Motor Company benefited from this project due to the cost savings of refurbishing their existing equipment to like new condition, rather then complete replacement and by reducing the delivery lead-time by more then half.
Atlas Technologies, Inc. refurbishment and upgrade program begins with a thorough inspection of the customer’s equipment whereby known damaged or missing components are documented. Upgrades, component replacement, cleaning and painting are then proposed. Atlas Technologies, Inc. is currently working with several other customers to evaluate their existing equipment for refurbishment and upgrade.
